Voluntary certification of medicinal plants

National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Department of AYUSH, Government of India has finalized Voluntary Certification Scheme for medicinal plants for Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) for cultivated medicinal plants and Good Field Collection Practices (GFCPs) for the collection of medicinal plants.

The scheme will be implemented through Quality Council of India (QCI) an autonomous body set up by government to establish and operate national accrediation structure and promote quality. The details of the scheme are available at www.nmpb.nic.in and www.qcin.org.

All growers and traders of medicinal plants are encouraged to avail the facilities under the scheme. You may also contact this office for further details.
