RANGES


The Division is divided into three ranges headed by Range Forest Officers. The ranges are Rupa, Shergaon and Kalaktang.

Rupa Range: 

The forest range consists of prominent Sherdukpen villages like Rupa, Thungri and Dedza. Other settlements include Garbow, Mukuthing, Dikshi, Limbakthang, Chilipam, Brokpublang and Membachur. There are two forest beats at Dedza and Chanditop. Nurseries are located at Rupa and Dedza.

Shergaon Range: 

The forest range encompasses villages like Khellong, Wabrang, Membachur, Sanglem, Morshing, Dumkho, Lha Gyala, Jigaon, Lingbaktang, Musakshing and Shergaon. There are two forest beats at Jigaon and Morshing.
Nursery is located at Shergaon. The hilly landscape is drained by the rivers of Phudung and Loblok.

Kalaktang Range: 

The forest range encompasses villages like Komalangchin, Samphung, Lungdur, Betchiling, Boha, Ankaling, Dengzi, Liphakpu, Brokpulamgchen, Warongpam, Samdrung, Chingi, Kalaktang and Tenzingaon. There is one forest beat (non account) at Ankaling.
Nurseries are located at Kalaktang and Ankaling. Nargom and tributaries drain the entire region and flows into Assam.
