COMPENSATORY AFFORESTATION

Compensatory afforestation is one of the most important conditions stipulated by the Central Government while approving proposals for de-reservation or diversion of forest land for non-forest uses. Compensatory afforestation shall be done over equivalent area of non-forest land or double the area in degraded forest areas. 

The Compensatory afforestation proposed against the diversion projects which have received final approval from the Government of India is as given below:
